We know that Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes God must believe that he is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." We have an understanding of the basic principle of what tis means but do we have a real understanding or is it only surface in our understanding of Faith? I believe we need to go to a deeper depth of what faith really is for us to live it out in our lives with principla. we also know from Romans 10:17 that faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God. So since we understand these two principals we come closer to understand the meaninf of what Faith or how Faith is enacted in our lives to do all that God asks of us. With that I would like to have us look at another book, the book of the Songs of Solomon 2:16 "My beloved is mine, and I am his; He pastures his flock among the lilies." Literally this means "my Bride" in Hebres it says "Ani Lo", "I am His", or "I am to Him", the Bride is overflowing with her joy to give herself to Him. Here is what is happning this Joy and this kind of Love cannot be separated and it is contagious to those around Her for the Bride Groom and it is in these moments that nothing can separate her love from Him and visa versa. This strong love draws a Faith in the Bride that is unmovable to the point that no matter what the Bride Groom asks she will do it as well as He doing the same for Her. We speak the words of Faith but we speak in terms that are shallow at best. The choice is that the Bride must by choice give herself to the Him as He gives Himself to her. The results are remarkable in the sense that Faith in the Son will produce great results of Heaven or the Kingdom of Heaven responding to a flawed Earthly kingdom without God. I don't mean to take you over the edge only to try to show yo how valuable our relationship to Jesus "Yeshua" is for us to be effective in our world without God in it. It doesn't take a great amount of Faith only a small portion a small seed. Matthew 17:14-21 "14 When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is a lunatic and is very ill; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 “I brought him to Your disciples, and they could not cure him.” 17 And Jesus answered and said, “You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” 20 And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. 21 [“But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”]" The earlier manuscripts of the Dead Sea Scrolls didn't hae verse 21 in them, they were added somewere around 5-- AD. Regardless of what Jesus said is still relevant on how much Faith is necessary. Faith is that Loving trust that no matter what He asks of me I can trust Him because He Loved me first and gave everything f me so how can I not do all that He will seek and ask of me and my life. How do we build that king of Faith? The Hebrew word is called "kodesh hakodashim" it means the Holy of Holies. we must first learn to go to the Holy place the secret place with God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. We must find that place alone with Him so that our faith can be built upon the word and the intimacy we have with Him in his presence. read Hebrews 11:32-40. What more shall I say. Etc. These men of Faith didn't have or know what we do todya but took hold of a promise with obedience to follow unseeing the future. We have the promise of not only the past and the future spoken to us and shown in scripture and still half believe. Mark 5:35-36 "35 While He was still speaking, they came from the house of the synagogue official, saying, “Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher anymore?” 36 But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid any longer, only believe." That is all He is asking us to do. "Only Believe". |
