INTRODUCTION:
What is the significance of Palm Sunday and why do we celebrate this day?

These are questions that are significant to the Church of Jesus Christ (every born Again Believer) because it sets up the beginning of the Kingdom of God in the Earth through His Church.

In Ephesians 1:4-5 we find that He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. This is very significant because God found us we were never looking for Him. He has always been looking for you and you’re here today not by chance “He chose you.” Jesus took that triumphant journey into Jerusalem just for you and I the Prince of Peace not as a conquering King but a King none the less to bring to the Earth a way for redemption for all mankind.

MESSAGE:
Palm Sunday is the day we celebrate the triumphal entrance of Jesus into the Holy City of Jerusalem Matthew 21:1-11. It signifies his final journey following the 10 days of Passover Celebration and ending at the Cross at Golgotha ( the place of the scull) ( it is where David buried Goliath’s Head after the battle with the Philistines 1Samuel 17:54). In the Old Testament the book of Zechariah 9:9 says Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, Your king is coming to you: he is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

The crowds were shouting out of Psalms 118:25-26 Oh Lord, do save, we beseech You, O Lord, we beseech You, do send prosperity! Blessed is the one (He) who comes in the name of the Lord, We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.

Because of what they were saying it enraged the Phrases and they said to Jesus, teacher tell them stop shouting because these were Messianic Prophecies of David about Jesus. There were 44 Messianic Prophecies of Jesus Fulfilled in the Old Testament and Some Bible scholars suggest there are more than 300 prophetic Scriptures completed in the life of Jesus.

The triumphal Journey was and is for you and I the most important to realize in our lives as Believers is the Lord Jesus Christ because we know because of the Scripture Jesus is not dead He is Alive. All the palms that you received today, is a reminder that we are to lay everything at His feet and allow Jesus by the Holy Spirit to work in our live the transformation from sinner to redeemed.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 therefore if anyone is in Christ, he (she) is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

CONCLUSION:
Life has its twists and turns we will always have battles but you and I are never alone. John 14: 16-19 Jesus said; I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever, that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because he abides with you and will be in you. God has a great plan for your life if you will only reach into Him and out of yourself. He will meet you in that place. Humble yourself in under the mighty hand of God and He will lift you out of where you are and take you to places you could never imagine in your life time.
