INTRODUCTION:
Moms bring life to the Home. It is the mom who is the Healer to her children when the child falls or is hurt by some of their friends. Moms are the protector it is said don’t mess with Momma bear and her cubs. Mom will protect with her life. A Mother is the encourager of her children and is always looking to see the potential of her children. In the eyes of God we too are His children and He is watching over us daily.
SCRIPTURE:

MESSAGE:
Proverbs 22:6 start children off on the way they shall go and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Moms are special there is no one who can take their place. Moms bring life and nurture their babies even sometimes when they are older Moms are still Mom.
MOM =
MOTHER =
- MENTER- gives guidance and direction to her children
- ORGANIZER- keeps home safe clean and gets everyone where they need to go.
- TEACHER- the instructor helps in the development of her children.
- HOME- watches over the dwelling and safety of her children.
- ENCOURAGER – builds up restores hurts brings laughter to the home
- RESTORER – Makes the broken new replacing sorrow with joy even when she is not able in herself she has a God given strength to build up her family.
To many times we underestimate the value of the Mother and her influence in a child’s life and even that of the home. How valuable is one person like a Mom to God. God saw that without Man having a helpmate he would be lost and empty. Our families today suffer and our societies fail because Moms and the family are not considered important anymore but God has not changed His mind.
The book of Proverbs 31: 1-31 shows us a great example of Moms and their role. Now since we are not perfect and will make mistakes in rearing our children grace is applied so today is a day of encouragement to all of you Moms.
Without Genesis 2:20-25 God created Woman for Man and they became one inseparable from each other so it has been for centuries only Man has messed it up with his own knowledge.
Jesus showed the value of the Mother of His birth by leaving her to be watched over by His spiritual Son and disciple John (John 19:25-27).
John 19:25-27
25 Therefore the soldiers did these things.
But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.26 When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He *said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then He *said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own household.
Proverbs 11:16
16 A gracious woman attains honor,
And ruthless men attain riches.
1Timothy 5:1-2
Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers, 2 the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity.
CONCLUSION:
God gives us direction on how to treat one another and how our children are to treat their parents with love and respect. Happy Mother’s Day Moms you are loved.
