INTRODUCTION: Just in these two scripture verses we can see that there is nothing in this life or the next or anything or anyone who can pull us from Gods love for us. So why do we fall for all the lies of the enemy and not hold fast to the promises of God? SCRIPTURES: MESSAGE: 1John 5:4-5 for whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. We have been given along with the Jewish people the responsibility to proclaim the one true God in the Earth. In Romans 1:16-17 Paul tells us; for I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written. “But the Righteous man shall live By Faith.” The Overcomer part came in our lives when we realized that we can no longer do this on our own and live life without Jesus in our lives. That is why the Battle is already won the only hold back is our thoughts and that is where the Battle is in the Mind. Your Mind will be used by the devil every way that he can to draw you from the truth because he wants you to fail so the Kingdom of God will not prevail in your lives. Paul tells us our responsibility to study, read and learn what the Word of God teaches us how to live and receive understanding. In 1Timothy 2:15-16 be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. But avoid worldly and empty chatter (gossip), for it will lead to further ungodliness, 17 and their talk will spread like gangrene. CONCLUSION: We cannot show someone what we do not live in our own lives. If we are unstable they will not hear a word even if it is true they only see what is before them and that is you. Learn to live in Galatians 5:22-26 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,21envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.24Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. 26Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another. |
