Scriptures Audio Message (24:35, Holy Spirit inspired message differs from title) Introduction Laughter comes from God and it is a gift that keeps on giving. It helps us deal with the sadness of life. It is laughter that heals the Spirit and Soul and gives strength to the body. Have you ever had someone make you mad and then someone said something to make you laugh? Even when we get upset Laughter will make our heart feel better. Bad jokes have no business in your Christian life, making fun of others, especially when someone is going through pain. Quotes from Charlie Chaplin: “A day without laughter is a day wasted.” “Life’s better when you’re laughing.” George R.R. Martin “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.” “I have not seen anyone dying of laughter, but I know millions who are dying because they are not laughing.” Message The bible tells us in Prov.15:15 All the days of the afflicted are bad, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast. The choice is ours do we desire to live in the negative or allow God through the Holy Spirit bring joy to our hearts with overwhelming laughter at difficult situations and give the enemy of our souls the devil a heart attack? We can find our answer in Proverbs 15:13 A joyful heart makes a cheerful face, but when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken. I think that I would rather have a cheerful heart and have a continual feast with the Lord. He loves to laugh and that is the truth. Proverbs 15:23 a man has joy in an appropriate answer, and how delightful is a timely word! WE all need a timely word from God and from those we will allow to speak into our lives. We need to be careful who we let speak into our lives because not everyone will speak on the wisdom of God. They may have nice words but are they words of life. Words of life are words that are truth from the word of God that will bring everlasting strength and joy. Jeremiah 33:11 tells us the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, “Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, For the Lord is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.” Conclusion |
