Speaker: Dr. Pastor Richard Allis Scriptures: Scriptures Bible Gateway (NASB & NIV): INTRODUCTION: How powerful is the will of Man? Can our will override the will of the Spirit of God? The answer to the last question is first and it is yes!! The answer to the second it is powerful enough to be a blessing or a curse. Today I want to get you to think differently. We determine how we are going to live if it is for God or against God. Our “Will” can change the outlook of how we feel and act out our emotions. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 23:7; for as he (man) thinks, within himself, so he is. God is trying to get the Church to be KINGDOM MINDED and we are still thinking earthly minded. We choose what we will to believe. God makes every effort for you and I to make changes in our lives. Within every human being is a consciousness of God and right and wrong. We can make a choice which one that we will follow. BODY OF TEXT: Pro.23:7; Matt.16:19-20; Colossians 3:1-4; Matt.6:33; Phil. 2:5-16 We need to have a kingdom mindset not our desires. When we set our minds on things above and not on the things that are of the earth then we are becoming Kingdom minded. Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God. Philippians 2:5-16 have this (mind) attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus. God is looking for us to understand that being Kingdom minded is Looking at things different from the things that you are seeing and striving for in this life. Joy and happiness comes in following after God and His promises. Miles Monroe tells a story of a chained dog and a piece of stake placed at the end of a chain. |
