Scriptures: Scriptures Bible Gateway (NASB & NIV): INTRODUCTION: BODY OF TEXT: The Spirit of Christ (the Holy Spirit) and His provision for us that brings us Hope and earnest expectation so that will turn we will not be ashamed of anything about our Savior. This first chapter tells us how to live is Christ. We should also proclaim without reservation that He is our savior to a lost world. The Apostle makes this statement Phil.1:21- For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22But is I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. 23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for your sake. He goes on to encourage the church be humble in everything that you do and give all the glory to God. Do nothing out of selfish ambition seeking you own glory always giving God the glory. Philippians 2:14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing; 15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as light in the world.16 holding fast the word of life (Jesus), so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain. What will change our lives is when we get hold of the life of God within us called the Holy Spirit. We see this in Romans 12:1-2. Without the mind renewed we will stay in the same place we have always been. Then we won’t make decisions on what we want but what God wants for our lives. Our lives center so much on it’s about me rather than the YOU God. When our focus changes we begin to see change in in our lives and begin to live not to just exist in life. We begin to live like Jesus and talk like Him and act like Him. 1Corinthians 11:1 Follow my example as I follow Christ. John 12:26 Jesus said, “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am there My servant will be also; If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. CONCLUSION: |
